Hello!
My name is Marcus Tegerhult. I'm a Level Designer working at Cloud Imperium Games in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Since a young age I've been interested in game development. I started messing around in Game Maker 8 during my early teens creating small, barely functional games for my own entertainment. Later I moved on to trying level editors that came packaged with my favourite games, like Half-Life and Team Fortress 2, which is where I really started to settle on level design being where I wanted to focus my attention.
I started my professional journey by studying at The Game Assembly, in Malmö, Sweden. Afterwards I got employment at Cloud Imperium Games in Manchester, UK, working on the Squadron42 project before transferring to the studio's Frankfurt-based office to work on Star Citizen. As a Swedish citizen, this was much easier to work from Germany than the UK.
Outside of game development I enjoy staying active with biking and bouldering, and I enjoy working creatively by painting and 3D modelling during my free time.
